STEM Alliance Aotearoa fosters the development of science and technology across New Zealand through supporting effective outreach and community engagement. Our STEM community showcases the value of STEM and mātauranga (Māori knowledge) to inspire youth and grow students' STEM capabilities. We want to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience.

The STEM Alliance community offers businesses, STEM outreach providers and schools/kura access to Aotearoa’s leading science engagement community, including the resources and networks you need to develop effective community outreach and be recognised for your efforts.
Participatory Science
STEM Alliance Aotearoa supports Te Hononga Akoranga COMET in the delivery of participatory science programmes across Tāmaki Makaurau - Curious Minds South Auckland and WeSTEM. Participatory science is a model of STEM community engagement which connects young people, community partners and STEM professionals around a big science question or local problem.
