About the event

This workshop is being delivered as part of the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit 2023.

The diversity of the STEM workforce is not reflective of the diversity of our communities. There is a vast pool of untapped talent that we can tap into to create a strong and diverse pipeline of individuals entering STEM fields.

One way to achieve this is through STEM outreach and engagement programmes. However, it can be challenging to decide on the most effective approach and ensure that the best outcomes are achieved for both your organisation and the students you want to reach.

STEM Alliance Aotearoa can help. In this workshop, we will present a model of how successful STEM engagement can influence student pathways and a framework to make your STEM engagement efforts more efficient and effective.

Together, we can build a STEM workforce that reflects the diversity of our communities and is poised to solve the world's biggest challenges.
